A random variable describes the outcomes of an experiment in words, in which the values for the random variable vary through repetition of the experiment. it’s basically the variable being measured in the population. The common notation for a random variable is given as X, Y, or Z, and its set of possible values can be given as lower case letters x, y or z. that represents a specific integer.

Data are the actual values of the variable. They may be numbers or they may be words. Datum is a single value
